This is exactly the statement I made when I was looking for ways to become debt free. You see, my husband and I decided that we wanted to have financial freedom, but that seemed utterly impossible when we looked at our incomes.
Like most families, we had learned to stretch a dollar until it screamed. We didn’t live “high on the hog” (as they say here in the Deep South). We have 3 kids and a middle America kind of lifestyle. We certainly weren’t jet setting around the world and driving brand new cars.
So, here we were trying to figure out how to make additional money to throw at our debt, which were mostly medical bills. It was SO frustrating to get those collection calls from people who did not seem to understand that we just did NOT have the money to shell out.
I decided that something had to change, and quick! So, I set out on a journey that lasted about 3 years. I tried out almost every (legal) way of making money at home.
- I was scammed.
- I bought lots of useless crap.
- I had small successes.
- I had major failures.
But, in the end, I was able to find the true, legitimate, workable way to make money at home. That is when I decided that I had to share my findings with the world. I had to give back and pay it forward.
